More than 100 years of history - originally served workers from the nearby Citroën factories, and during World War II, it was considered one of the most affordable restaurants in Paris thanks to the owner's commitment to keeping prices accessible. The interior immediately catches the eye: two levels of galleries surrounding a central courtyard beneath a glass roof, filled with greenery. Many people believe the restaurant's main attraction is its interior. And honestly, they're right. I booked it largely because of its appearance, atmosphere and high rating on maps.Café du Commerce, seems to have earned its reputation for exactly the reasons mentioned above: service, atmosphere, history, and perhaps location. But the food?-"Gros escargots sauvages de Bourgogne de la Maison de l'Escargot" - no complaints;-"Confit de canard de nos régions, pommes persillées" - a flavourless disappointment. Not only am I personally not a fan of duck with a very pink centre (okay it's subjective), but the dish genuinely lacked flavour.-"Rognons de veau, sauce moutarde à l’ancienne, purée maison" - veal kidneys, a classic French bistro dish. Tender and properly cooked: nicely seared on the outside, slightly pink inside. Overall, I was satisfied with this dish.-Children's Fish & Chips - perfectly ordinary, although I really enjoyed the sauce, which seemed to contain chopped pickles. We skipped dessert as the portions were quite generous.Overall, my impressions are mixed. One of the two main courses was a disappointment. Would I come back? No. As a tourist attraction, however, it's worth a visit.

Food is not great at all - not a French level cuisine. The duck was awful - cold, not properly cooked and without any taste. Artichoke of bad quality… It’s a big surprise to have such low level cuisine in the center of Paris l, which is well known for tasty and good quality food At least escargot was good
