The London Avocado Toast Ranking (No One Asked For)

If I had to choose one dish to eat for the rest of my life, it would be avocado toast. I swear!

So, in descending order - from the absolute best to slightly less impressive 🙂

1)Cafe Le Cordon Bleu (Bloomsbury) - café at the culinary school. The best sourdough here!

2)Roasting Plant Coffee (Temple) - at least the one on Temple. The feta toast 💔

3)Gail’s Bakery (Maida Vale) - I know, it’s basic - but the toast is good. And if you ask for fish, they’ll give you a whole pack.

4)The Good Life Eatery (St Johns Wood) - be careful, I only recommend the toast from this place! Again - with feta 💔

5)L’ETO (Notting hill) - this toast isn’t on the menu, but I really asked them to make it like this. The mustard seeds are unnecessary in my opinion, but not a big deal. Plenty of fish too btw🙂

Less exciting, but still workable options:
6) WatchHouse (Marylebone) - because… no avocado.
7) Beam (Bayswater / Notting Hill)- minus points for presentation, not attractive at all.
8) Granger & Co (Notting hill) - good sourdough, soft ripe avocado, but smoked trout 🤔

Skipping:
9) PAUL Bakery (Marylebone) - tasteless bread, messy presentation.
10) Myra Chocolate (Edgware road) - toast made with cheap bread, unnecessary pomegranate bits, and oddly cooked eggs.
